Well, we drove the 24 kilometers into Orange -- got lost a few times, but no matter -- there’s plenty to see, even if you’re lost!
Orange is a nice town and the Weight Watchers folks were a delight, as they seem to be everywhere (most especially in Lakewood, Colorado!) We arrived early (as always) and they weren’t quite set-up and didn’t have a door to lock as they do in Lakewood so the very nice leader -- who speaks English -- asked us politely to wait for 20 minutes and escorted us to a table on the front patio of the hotel where the meetings are held. Notice the sign I had to look at the entire time we were waiting! But I only had coffee and Brad had a beer.
I weighed in and, as I suspected, I put on weight -- but only 2/10 of a kilo, which Brad says is about half a pound. Regardless, I never like to gain, but given the amount of rich food available to me every day -- put in front of me, that is -- I guess I won’t feel too bad!
I've divided today into several posts (5 maybe). Read on...(and thanks for staying in touch!)

A half a pound? Not too bad. But since you're going to be there for longer than just a simple vacation, maybe you could do little things to either beef up your exercise (and still eat what you want). OR you can always decide the things you REALLY like right now and eat those...and then the stuff that you've already tried and don't have to have, you can pass on those.
ReplyDeleteBut maybe it's time to ask...what is your goal for your duration in France. If it's to not gain weight, that's okay too.
